Friendships, Fun and HOCKEY!!
Submitted By Kyla Price on Tuesday, December 4, 2018
November 18th saw classmates and friends play against each other in a game where what happens during a game only grow friendships. The TCDMHA Rebels made the short trip to Owen Sound to take on the Ice Hawks for the second game this year. Both teams were quick to suit up so they could meet up with their friends both on their team and the opposing. As the teams took to the ice chants and cheers could be heard throughout the arena. As a special surprise for fans that day, the Rebels wore their Remembrance jerseys which showcase the names of those who fought for our freedom.

With the drop of the puck both teams battled with great speed and puck control. Ice Hawks Lisane, Reese, Norah, Harper and Briar moved the puck well creating lots of chances but couldn't get the puck past Rebel's goalie Scarlet J. The Rebels defensive play by Carlee, Molly, Aaliyah, Grace T., and Scarlet B. kept the puck away from their net and giving Myah, Eden and Grace M. goals. Working hard to keep the Rebel's away from the net were Ice Hawks Olivia, Sophie, Lauren, Riley and McKenna. Great passing and shooting by Rebels Amelia and Mikayla saw them pick up both a goal and assist each. In the final few seconds after an incredible save by the Ice Hawks goalie, Mikayla saw an end of game ruch by Wynn and Halle that saw Rebel's goalie Scarlet yet again making an amazing save. At the end of the game players shook hands and spent time together as friends because at the end of the game all that matters is friendship and having fun!
